Key Moments | Game 2

Pacific Lutheran (9-17, 6-12 NWC) built a 5-1 lead early in the game with Lewis & Clark's only run on Cross' fourth-inning solo home run.

Trailing by four in the seventh, the Pios first five batters reached base including the doubles from Alvarez and Hoeke, the latter of which scored Kami Merrill, who reached on a leadoff single. An error scored one more before a third double, this time by Cross, scored two runs. An RBI single by Lily Moffitt gave the Pios the lead. Lewis & Clark scored additional runs on a passed ball, Hoeke's single and Brackin's grand slam. Lutes starter Z Ellis returned to the game and gave up another home run when Gildersleeve sent the ball out to center field.

In all, the Pios totaled 13 runs and eight hits to go with two errors. Lewis & Clark did not leave a runner on in the final inning. Alyssa Abe, who took over for starter Jane Wilson in the bottom of the sixth, earned the win.

Key Moments | Game 1

A 3-0 lead by Lutes through three innings was enough for an eventual win in the opener. Gildersleeve hit a fourth-inning home run, and Merrill hit an RBI single later in the inning that closed the gap to one.

Abe threw all six innings, allowed three runs on five hits and struck out two. Kennedy Robillard earned the complete-game win for PLU with two runs allowed on seven hits with six strikeouts.

Lewis & Clark outhit PLU, 7-5, as Gildersleeve finished 2 for 3 with a run scored. Hoeke, Cross, Moffitt, Abe and Merrill had one each.

Looking Ahead

Lewis & Clark (11-9, 7-7 NWC) and PLU finish the series on Sunday.
