Key Moments
The Bruins built leads of three and seven through the middle point of the first and second sets, respectively, and successfully carried those advantages to the end.
However, in the third, George Fox held leads of 9-3 and 14-7 before the Pioneers mounted a comeback and closed the gap to 19-17. Having landed two kills shortly after entering the game for the first time in the second set, Isabel Artiaga landed her third in between kills from Izzy Willis, and then an ace by Ohlmaier closed the Bruins' third-set edge to 14-11. Emma Ehlers' kill, an ace by Ka'anelaokapu'uwai Pakaki-Pias and errors by the Bruins on two of the next three rallies brought the Pios to within 19-17. Willis had four of her seven kills in the match during the final set, the last of which put the Pios within 24-21. Two straight mistakes by the Bruins put the Pios within one, but the match ended on an attack error by Lewis & Clark.
