Box Score 2 PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Lewis & Clark Pioneers weren't able to capitalize on the momentum of a walk-off home run from the prior day, as the Pios lost both on Sunday to the George Fox Bruins at Huston Sports Complex.
Samantha Gildersleeve hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh inning for the Pioneers lone scores in the first game, a 7-2 defeat. Olivia Brackin's homer and RBI single in the first and sixth, respectively, led the Pios offensively in a 9-2 loss during the finale.
Braylin Jenson and Brackin each went 2 for 3 in game two on Sunday, while Sydney Cross, Kai Pinera and Gildersleeve had the hits for Lewis & Clark in the opener.

Pinera had the Pios first hit in the fifth inning, and Cross hit a one-out double in the seventh, before Gildersleeve hit her home run to left field, her third of the season.
Ashley Davis allowed three hits for George Fox and struck out four. Jane Wilson took the loss after allowing 10 hits, seven runs and a walk over 6 1/3 innings. Cassidy Crusberg closed out the game with one hit allowed.
Jenson had a stolen base.

Brackin's first-inning home run, her third of the season, tied the game at one, but the Bruins scored five unanswered runs to lead 6-1 through five innings.
In the sixth, Jenson hit a one-out single and scored two batters later when Brackin hit her home with a single. Caitlyn Rhoades replaced George Fox starter Sarah Storton and threw the final 1 1/3 innings.
Alyssa Abe took the loss for the Pios after allowing 10 hits, nine runs and one walk while striking out four.
