Box Score PASADENA, Calif. -- The Lewis & Clark Pioneers improved to 7-4 on the season with a 59-47 win over the Caltech Beavers on Monday at Braun Athletic Center.
Delsie Johnson put in 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, and Peyton Romo and Jamison Richards scored 14 and 11, respectively.
A big fourth quarter separated the Pios in the win. Lewis & Clark outscored Caltech, 21-7, in the final period. The 47 points allowed are the fewest by the Pioneers this season.

The Beavers led throughout the first quarter and took their largest lead of five with 3:36 remaining in the period. Kathryn Edwards was the top scorer for Caltech with 22 on 8 of 16 shooting.
Lewis & Clark had 15 assists, tied for the second most in any game this season, on 23 made field goals. Karli Mukai led the Pios with four, and Gabby Beltran added three. The Pios also had their second-most blocked shots in any game. Coco Shafer, Jessica Cerne, Beltran and Johnson each had one.
The Pioneers shot 40 percent from the floor for the game and made seven 3-pointers led by Romo's 4 for 8 performance. Lewis & Clark finished each half strongly. In addition to the 14-point margin in the final period, the Pios were five points better (16-11) in the second quarter.
To open the fourth, the Pios went on a 7-0 run fueled by one of two 3-pointers made by Johnson in the game, and a layup apiece from Charlotte Carroll and Johnson.
