Box Score PORTLAND, Ore. -- Eight student-athletes ended their Lewis & Clark Pioneers home careers on Saturday night prior to the match against the Pacific Lutheran Lutes at Pamplin Sports Center.
The Pios lost 25-23, 25-15, 25-17 to bring an atypically early end to their home schedule. Lewis & Clark will play its final six on the road.
Isabel Artiaga, Mollee Chenoweth, Kate Kimbro, Michelle McGinn, Ka'anelaokapu'uwai Pakaki-Pias, Kelsey Parker, Sydney Richardson and Jenna Timmerman were recognized before the game. All eight are four-year student-athletes for the Pioneers.

Key Moments
The opening set was tight throughout with 13 ties and five lead changes, the last of which came when a bad set by McGinn put the Lutes up 15-14. Lewis & Clark tied the game four more times afterward, but never regained the lead. Pakaki-Pias had four of her five kills, while McGinn brought up six of her eight digs for the match in the opening set.
In the second, the Pios led 8-4 behind consecutive aces from Izzy Willis. The Lutes responded by scoring five straight points for a 9-8 lead, and PLU kept the lead the rest of the way. Halle Hetzler served for four straight points and a 16-11 advantage midway through the set.
Pakaki-Pias served for three points to flip-flop a three-point deficit into a 5-4 lead in the finale. Willis and Parker landed kills in the sequence. The set went back-and-forth, and the Pios eventually evened the score at 14 apiece, before the Lutes went on a late run to win.
