SALEM, Ore. - The Lewis & Clark volleyball team picked up its third Northwest Conference road victory on Wednesday night, taking down the Willamette Bearcats 3-1.
The Pioneers improve to 4-7 on the season and 3-2 in Norhtwest Conference action. The Bearcats slip to 5-9 overall and 1-4 in the NWC.
The Pioneers were led by a match-high 20 kills from junior Brigitte Russo. Russo was 20 of 39 from the floor for a .385 attacking percentage. Junior Kataleya Milan knocked down 18 kills in the Pio victory, while coming up with 11 digs and two blocks. Kelsie Dorpat picked up a match-high 48 assists, while freshman Alexe Navarro concluded the night with a match leading 32 digs.
The Bearcats were led by 15 kills from Kirsten Brehmer, while Sarah Fincher earned 12 kills. Emily Compton led Willamette in digs and assists with 14 and 32 respectively.
Lewis & Clark returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. for a match against George Fox in the Pamplin Sports Center for homecoming.
