TACOMA, Wash. - The Lewis & Clark volleyball team hit the road Saturday night for a Northwest Conference contest against the Pacific Lutheran Lutes, who are ranked 16th in the nation. The Lutes came out victorious, winning 25-11, 25-13 and 25-18.
The loss drops the Pioneers to 4-10 on the season and 3-5 in NWC action. PLU improves to 12-4 overall and a perfect 8-0 in conference play.
Junior Kataleya Milan was the Pioneers only offensive threat, knocking down 14 kills, while picking up one service ace and a team-high three blocks. Kelsie Dorpat ended the contest with 23 assists and six digs, while Alexe Navarro had 10 digs.
Amy Wotten led the Lutes with six kills, while Allison Wood and Haley Urdahl each had five. Samantha North earned 26 assists for the Lutes, while Amber Aguiar had 12 digs.
Lewis & Clark returns to action on Friday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. hosting Whitman.
