OLYMPIA, Wash. - The Lewis & Clark volleyball team fell to Northwest University 3-0 on Friday morning in the teams second game of the Evergreen State Invitational. The Pioneers then fell to Columbia Bible in their second contest of the day, 3-0.
The loses takes the Pioneers record in the tournament to 1-2, while dropping them to 3-5 on the season.
Jennifer Dowdy, Alicia Callejo-Black and Kayla Ernewein each finished the Northwest contest with four kills for the Pioneers. Callejo-Black and Ernewein also recorded a team-high three blocks for the Pioneers, with Ernewein earning three assisted blocks and Callejo-Black finishing with one solo and two assisted.
Brigitte Russo led the Pioneers offensively in the Columbia Bible contest, knocking down eight kills. Freshman Alexi Provost-Shean finished with the teams highest attacking percentage after picking up five kills for the Pios. Elena Hoff had a hot hand for the Pioneers on the serve, picking up three aces to go with her team-leading 12 digs.
Lewis & Clark returns to the court on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 1 p.m. to take on the host team.
