Game One
Game Two
FOREST GROVE, Ore. - The Lewis & Clark softball team took one game of its double-header against Pacific on Saturday in Northwest Conference action. The Pioneers won game one 3-2 before falling 7-0 in game two.
The Pioneers got on the board first with a run in the first inning of action courtesy of a Moriah Lane single. Lane found the gap in left center driving in Kelsey Buck.
Junior Jet'aime Mullins extended the Pios lead to 2-0 in the third inning with a lead-off homerun to left field. Lane followed Mullins lead in the top of the fourth inning with a walk-off homerun over the fence in right field.
The Boxers started to make a comeback in the fifth inning with a single run of their own on an RBI single from their shortstop. Pacific pulled within a run in the sixth with an RBI groundout.
That's as far as the Boxers would come in game one, but Pacific would carry the late game momentum into game two.
The second game proved to be all Pacific with Lewis & Clark only managing three hits.
The Pioneers return to action for their final game of the year on Sunday, April 15 at 12 p.m. for Senior Day.
