Volleyball Ends Road Trip With 3-0 Loss to Whitman

WALLA WALLA, Wash. - The Lewis & Clark volleyball team finished its Whit trip with a 3-0 (25-17, 25-17, 25-14) loss to the Whitman Missionaries on Saturday evening in Northwest Conference action.

The Pioneers fall to 6-17 on the year and 2-12 in NWC action, while the Missionaries improve to 10-11 overall and 8-6 in conference.

Jennifer Dowdy ended the night with a team-high eight kills, while Kataleya Milan knocked down six. Kayla Ernewein led the Pioneers defensive efforts with three blocks. Brigitte Russo blocked two Whitman attacks and Elena Hoff dug up 14 balls.

Olivia Nielson was the Missionaries all-around best player, finishing with a match-high 11 kills and seven blocks. Jillian Davis ended her night with 10 kills and three blocks.

The Pioneers return to action on Friday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. when they travel to Salem to take on the Willamette Bearcats.
