Volleyball Falls to Whitworth 3-1

SPOKANE, Wash. - The Lewis & Clark volleyball team fell to the Whitworth Pirates 3-1 (14-25, 25-22, 19-25, 24-26) on Friday evening in the Whitworth Fieldhouse in Northwest Conference action. 

The Pioneers fall to 6-16 on the season and 2-11 in conference play, while Whitworth improves to 8-12 overall and 4-9 in the NWC. 

Kataleya Milan led the Pioneers with 14 kills and two blocks. Jennifer Dowdy and Brigitte Russo each ended the evening with seven kills, while Alicia Callejo-Black had a match-high eight blocks (three solo / five assisted). 

Jalana White finished with a match-high 16 kills for the Pirates. Nicole Leonard had 13 kills for Whitworth, while Kristine Kardell had 11 kills and three solo blocks. 

Lewis & Clark takes on Whitman at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27.
