TACOMA, Wash. - The Lewis & Clark volleyball team hit the road for its second Northwest Conference showdown with Pacific Lutheran on Saturday evening, falling to the Lutes 3-0 (25-14, 25-8, 25-16).
The loss drops the Pioneers to 6-15 overall and 2-10 in conference play. The Lutes, who are ranked 16th in the nation and sit atop the NWC, are now 17-3 on the season and 11-1 in conference.
Brigitte Russo finished the evening with seven kills for the Pioneers, while Kelsie Dorpat was credited with 16 assists. Elena Hoff and Kataleya Milan each came up with 10 digs, while Dorpat earned nine. Alicia Callejo-Black led the team with two blocks.
Amy Wooten led all players with 11 kills, while teammates Allison Wood and Haley Urdahl each ended the night with 10. Bethany Huston knocked down a match-high three blocks.
Lewis & Clark returns to the court on Friday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. in Spokane, Wash. against Whitworth.
