SPOKANE, Wash. - The Lewis & Clark volleyball team fell to the Whitworth Piratres 3-0 on Friday evening in a Northwest Conference match-up.
The loss drops the Pioneers to 13-12 on the season and 9-6 in conference play. The Pirates, who are ranked 23rd in the nation, improve to 19-6 overall and 14-2 in conference.
Senior Margaret Dowling led the Pios with eight kills, while coming up with four block assists. Alicia Callejo-Black added six kills and led all players with six blocks. Elena Hoff led Lewis & Clark with 11 digs.
Kaimi Rocha had 13 kills and 12 digs for the Pirates, while Ka'ipo Rocha added 12 kills. Amanda Grumbach had 12 digs, while Whitney Santos led all players with 13 digs.
The Pioneers conclude their season on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. when they take on the Whitman Missionaries.
