SALEM, Ore. – The Lewis & Clark
volleyball team (0-1) fell to Corban College 3-1 Wednesday night at
the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center, falling by scores of 23-25, 19-25,
25-21, and 19-25.
Sophomore Jenn Dowdy led the Pioneers with 10 kills, while
junior Margaret Dowling posted nine and Katherine Fiedler recorded
eight.
Freshman middle hitter Alicia Callejo-Black registered six
kills, one block solo and one block assist in her program
debut.
Sophomore Leia Matsunaga dished out all but five of her team's
assists, finishing with 32 on the night. Senior Lou Ohki tallied 21
digs to begin the season.
The team opens home play Saturday, Sept. 4 when they host the
Northwest Conference Invitational in the Pamplin Sports Center. The
first match is set for 11 a.m.
