BOX SCORE
PORTLAND, Ore. - Trailing by four points
heading into the half, the Lewis & Clark men's basketball team
put together comeback in the second half to remain undefeated with
an 87-84 victory over Warner Pacific on Tuesday night.
Junior PJ Taylor led the way for the Pioneers with a game-high
34 points, shooting 9-12 from three point range and 7-8 from the
free throw line. James Hollins chipped in 24 points to the Pio
offense, while coming down with a team-high eight rebounds. Scott

collecting five and six rebounds respectively.
The Pioneers found their shooting rhythm in the second half,
shooting 78.6% from the floor hitting 11-14, after shooting a
dismal 38.9% in the first half. As has been the case all season,
the Pios continue to be solid from behind the charity stripe,
finishing the game 17-23 (73.9%).
The Knights were led offensively by Nick Schultens and Biniam
Tadele, who each ended the night with 18 points. Webster Moreland
grabbed a game-high 16 rebounds, while chipping in 13 points.
Lewis & Clark trailed 37-34 at the half, but were able to
come from behind with several shots from distance, claiming the
lead for good on a Donato Perconti three-pointer with a little over
eight minutes remaining in the contest.
Warner Pacific were able to pull within a point with a couple
seconds left to play, but two Taylor free throws pushed the Pio
lead back to three points with .08 seconds to play. Warner Pacific
would be unable to inbound ball and shoot quick enough to mount a
come from behind victory.

open Northwest Conference action against the Whitworth Pirates at 8
p.m. in the Pamplin Sports Complex.
