Men’s Basketball Drains 16 Treys in 96-86 NWC Win Over George Fox

Andre Treadwell and Justin White recorded double-doubles, Kody Uyesugi added season-high 19 points.

PORTLAND, Ore. – Lewis & Clark College men's basketball earned its second Northwest Conference win of the season with a 96-86 victory over George Fox University on Friday evening at Pamplin Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
 
Senior Andre Treadwell led the River Otters with 29 points on 11-of-22 shooting. He connected on five 3-pointers and pulled down a career-high 13 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season.
 
Fellow Senior Kody Uyesugi added a season-high 19 points, shooting 6-of-9 from beyond the arc.
 
Senior Justin White finished with 16 points, a career-high 11 rebounds, five assists and two blocks to post his third double-double of the season. Sophomore Marcus Bast contributed 13 points and six assists, while senior Taien Jackson added nine points and three assists.
 
Lewis & Clark opened the game with a 6-0 run, capped by a Treadwell 3-pointer at the 18:03 mark. George Fox answered with a 15-0 surge and took its largest lead of the game at 26-15 when Sydney Natche converted a layup at 10:16.
 
The River Otters responded immediately with a 21-8 run. Treadwell's tip-in layup and subsequent free throw gave Lewis & Clark a 36-34 lead with 2:56 remaining in the half.
 
The teams traded baskets down the stretch, and George Fox's Noah Marte hit a 3-pointer with two seconds left to tie the game at 41-41 heading into halftime.
 
Lewis & Clark shot 36.8 percent from the field in the opening half, connecting on 11-of-23 attempts from 3-point range. George Fox made 16-of-37 shots overall and went 4-of-13 from beyond the arc.
 
The River Otters opened the second half with a 14-2 run over the first four minutes. Jackson scored on a layup 19 seconds into the period, and Treadwell added six points during the stretch. Lewis & Clark extended its lead to 55-43 at the 16:08 mark following a driving layup by Treadwell.
 
Lewis & Clark pushed its advantage to 76-53 at 10:23 when sophomore Donovan Beard knocked down a 3-pointer. George Fox made one final push, cutting the margin to 81-74 with 4:44 remaining on a Marte fast-break layup.
 
The River Otters answered with a 10-3 run over the next two minutes to restore a 14-point cushion. Bast hit back-to-back 3-pointers during the run and finished with 10 second-half points.
 
BY THE NUMBERS 
  • Lewis & Clark out rebounded George Fox 42-39 and held a 33-31 edge on the defensive glass.
  • Lewis & Clark's first 11 made field goals were 3-pointers, the most in a half since Nov. 8, 2024, against Portland Bible College.
  • The 16 made 3-pointers were the most by Lewis & Clark since Dec. 8, 2017, against Northwest Indian.
  • Treadwell and White recorded double-doubles in the same game for the second time this season.
