Game One
Game
Two
McMINNVILLE, Ore. – The Lewis & Clark
softball team fell to the Linfield Wildcats in Northwest Conference
action on Wednesday, March 18 on the road 11-0 and 16-0. The
Pioneers fall to 0-10 on the season, while the Wildcats improved to
a perfect 10-0.
Danielle Blechert collected the Pios lone hit of game one, reaching
base in the second inning of action. The Wildcats jumped to an
early 5-0 lead, before picking up their final six runs of the game
in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Linfield continued to show why they are the 22nd-ranked program in
the nation in game two, once again holding the Pioneers to just one
hit. Caroline DeVincenzi racked up the teams lone hit in the fifth
inning, but Wildcat pitching would prevent the Pios from converting
the hit into a run.
The Pioneers return to action on Thursday, March 19 at 5 p.m. as
they take to the road again for a non-conference contest
with Northwest Christian.
