Lewis & Clark Places Twenty on NWC All-Sportsmanship Team

Four seniors named for second time in 2024-25.

PORTLAND, Ore. – Twenty Lewis & Clark College student-athletes were named to the 2024-25 Northwest Conference All-Sportsmanship Team, the conference office announced Wednesday afternoon.

The Pioneers were represented by one student-athlete from each of their 20 NWC-sponsored teams. Honorees were selected by a combination of coaches and peers for exemplifying outstanding sportsmanship throughout the year.

Five Pioneers were repeat selections: senior Will Heron (baseball), senior Nik Berry (men's basketball), sophomore Evan Markelz (men's cross country), senior Devon Guest (football) and senior Jon Westlake (men's golf). Berry, Markelz and Westlake earned spots on the 2023-24 All-Sportsmanship Team, while Heron and Guest were previously honored in 2022-23. Markelz was also recognized last year for men's track and field, and Guest received that honor in 2022-23.
