PORTLAND, Ore. – Lewis & Clark College women's tennis won all three doubles matches and dropped just five games across three singles contests in a commanding 7-0 exhibition victory over Bellevue College on Sunday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Senior Lauren Smith-Euben and sophomore Maya Curry each went 2-0 to lead the Pioneers.

Curry lost just three games on the day, defeating Sadie Wilson 6-1, 6-1 in the fourth singles match. Earlier, Curry teamed with first-year Madi Vianzon for a 6-1 win over Emma Wetzel and Wilson at No. 3 doubles.

Smith-Euben and sophomore Emma Loucks earned a 6-0 victory over Meiweya Amazona and Jilianne Legaspi at No. 2 doubles. Smith-Euben then defeated Amazona 6-1, 6-1 in No. 3 singles.

First-year Anna English rolled to a 6-0, 6-1 win over Wetzel in the second singles match.

Senior Allison Gabelman outlasted Bean Lowe 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1 singles.

In the final two matches, first-year Elle Garcia and senior Soraya Young-Pen each went to a third-set tiebreaker after winning their opening sets. Garcia defeated Shanna Chua 6-2, 3-6, 1-0 (10-8) at No. 5 singles. Young-Pen topped Legaspi 6-0, 2-6, 1-0 (10-8) at No. 6.
