NEWBERG, Ore. — Lewis & Clark College women's tennis closed out its fall championship slate with another strong performance at the 2025 ITA Northwest Regional Championship, held Friday through Sunday at George Fox University. HOW IT HAPPENED

Singles Recap

Vianzon bounced back from a tough three-set loss in the Round of 32 of the main draw to put together a dominant run in consolation play. She rattled off four consecutive victories, capped by a 6-2, 6-4 triumph over George Fox's Nicole Schnurbusch in the final. Along the way, she outlasted Puget Sound's Pearl Buck in a super tiebreak (6-1, 6-7 [3], 1-0 [10-7]), swept Linfield's Sophia Benke 6-0, 6-0, and rolled past UPS's Ginger Parker 6-3, 6-0 in the semifinals.

Junior Charlotte Makoni joined her in the Round of 16 with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Puget Sound's Frances English.

Senior and top seed Susanna Anand advanced to the quarterfinals after defeating Willamette's Alexa De Crinis 6-2, 7-5, before falling in a tight three-set battle to Whitman's Renata Rosell Puga.

In consolation play, sophomore Maya Curry advanced on a walkover before dropping her quarterfinal match against Linfield's Kaitlynn Canubida.

Doubles Recap

The Pioneers pushed two teams into the Round of 16 in the East doubles draw. Curry and sophomore Taylor Stadjuhar opened with an 8-2 win over Willamette's Krysten Smith and Alicia Sola before narrowly falling 8-6 to George Fox's Riley Bobkiewicz and Sophie Denham.

Anand and Makoni, seeded fifth, cruised to an 8-1 win over Schnurbusch and Juhree Kizziar (George Fox) and then topped Whitman's Gloria Lau and Julia Longpre 8-2. Their run ended in the quarterfinals against Whitworth's Clara Todd and Faith Kert, 8-3.
