GREENWOOD, Ind. – On Tuesday morning, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) named three Lewis & Clark College basketball players—one from the men's team and two from the women's team—to the 2024–25 Academic All-District Basketball Teams.
Senior
Nate Berg was selected to the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Academic All-District Team for the second straight year, while junior
Tatiana Rebanal and sophomore
Lauryn Frederickson earned their first selections to the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Academic All-District Team.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be at least sophomores academically and athletically, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and must have competed in 90 percent of their team's games or started in at least 66 percent of them during the winter season.
The three Lewis & Clark student-athletes were nominated based on their outstanding achievements in the classroom and on the court.
Berg, a rhetoric and media studies major from Sandy, Utah, appeared in 26 of the Pioneers' 28 games and started all of them. The senior forward averaged 4.6 points and 5.2 rebounds per game while shooting 38.6% from the field and 82.8% from the free-throw line. He led the team with 20 blocks and finished fifth in the Northwest Conference. Berg helped lead the Pioneers to their first NWC Tournament appearance since 2015, as well as their first NWC Tournament title and NCAA Division III Tournament appearance since 2002.
Rebanal, a psychology major from Alameda, California, played in 24 games and started 23 of them. The junior point guard averaged 4.6 points and 2.5 rebounds per game, led the team with 58 assists, and added 28 steals. She shot 33.6% from the field and 71.4% from the free-throw line.
Frederickson, a rhetoric and media studies major from Maple Valley, Washington, started all 25 games for the Pioneers. The sophomore small forward led the team with 14.9 points and 8.4 rebounds per game while shooting 38.8% from the field. She added 34 assists, 18 blocks, and 29 steals on the season. Frederickson earned All-Conference honors for the first time in her career, being named to the All-NWC Second Team.
