McCoy Harmon broke theirĀ own program record in the weight throw by over two feet and junior
Nia Pile and McCoy Harmon each finished in the top eight in the shot put.Ā Ā

McCoy Harmon notched a program-record toss of 10.61M (34-09.75 Feet) to finish in 10
thĀ place. They broke their PR by nearly two feet on the second of three qualifying throws.Ā

Pile finished sixth overall in the shot put. Her furthest throw carried 10.52M (34-06.25 Feet). McCoy Harmon was just behind her. The junior recorded a heave of 9.72M (31-10.75 Feet) to finish in eighth. Junior Michèe Brika registered a season-best mark of 8.56M (28-01.00 Feet) to place 15

Anli Davis was Lewis & Clark's lone jumper on Friday. She placed 10
thĀ in the long jump with a PR leap of 4.39M (14-05.00 Feet).Ā

Callow Soto led four Pioneers in the 60M Dash. Soto took 21
stĀ out of 46 runners with a time of 8.56. Senior
Tessa Robinson added a season-best time of 8.70 to place 26
th. Pile came across in 8.91 to finish 34
thĀ overall. Davis registered a PR time of 9.15 to take 42

Elsie Chin represented Lewis & Clark in the 60M Hurdles. Mayberry (11.56) barely edged Chin (11.58) with the two placing 15
thĀ and 16
thĀ overall.Ā

Fung and Fritz each advanced to the Finals of the 60M Hurdles to lead men's track & field on Friday. In the prelims, Fritz placed fourth out of 13 runners with a time of 8.99. Fung came in just behind his teammate with a time of 9.14 to place sixth overall. In the eight-man Final, Fung moved up to fifth overall with a time of 9.08. Fritz crossed the line in 9.18 to place seventh.Ā

Seven multi-sport, student-athletes competed in the 60M Dash. Junior
Jordan Lahusky finished 12

BY THE NUMBERS
- McCoy Harmon (10.61M/34-09.75 Feet) improved theirĀ own program-record distance in the weight throw by 0.73M (2.4.75 Feet). TheyĀ areĀ the only thrower in program history to break nine meters (29.50 Feet) in the event.Ā
- Mwedenapole moved into ninth place in program history in the 60M Dash. Crockett (21st), Adams (22nd) and Willis (29th) all cracked the top-30 on Friday.Ā
- Robinson's time of 8.70 is tied for the second-fastest of her collegiate career. She ran an 8.56 in February 2022 at the Seattle Pacific Final Qualifier.Ā
- Davis's jump of 4.39M in the long jump puts her seventh all-time in program history in the event.Ā
WHAT'S NEXTĀ

While Lewis & Clark will likely send one or two runners to Indoor Nationals (March 14-15), the rest of the team will turn their focus to outdoor track & field next weekend. The Pioneers will travel to Tacoma for the two-day Ed Boitano Invitational. The meet will start on Friday, February 28 and conclude on Saturday, March 1.Ā
