PORTLAND, Ore. — The Lewis & Clark College women's basketball team announced its 2025-26 schedule, which features a five-game home stand to open the season and a Northwest Conference slate that begins on the road in early January.
The River Otters open play at Pamplin Sports Center on Nov. 9 with a non-conference matchup against NWC foe Pacific University at 6 p.m. They continue at home against Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference semifinalist Schreiner University on Nov. 15 at 4 p.m., followed by a trio of NAIA opponents: Northwest University on Nov. 16 at 2 p.m., Walla Walla University on Nov. 22 at 6:30 p.m., and Corban University on Nov. 25 at 6 p.m.
Lewis & Clark plays its first road contest Nov. 30 at Warner Pacific University before returning home on Dec. 7 to host Bushnell University at 3 p.m. The River Otters then travel to Los Angeles on Dec. 20 to face Occidental College of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in their final non-conference matchup of the calendar year.
Conference play opens Jan. 2 at the University of Puget Sound and continues Jan. 3 at Pacific Lutheran University. The River Otters' home conference debut follows on Jan. 9 against George Fox University, which finished second in the league standings last season.
The early January schedule also includes a road game at Pacific on Jan. 10 and a home non-conference contest against Northwest Indian College on Jan. 13 at 6 p.m. Lewis & Clark then hosts defending champion Whitman College on Jan. 16 and Whitworth University on Jan. 17.
The River Otters alternate home and away weekends through February, with home dates against Linfield University on Jan. 24, Pacific Lutheran on Jan. 30, Puget Sound on Jan. 31, Pacific on Feb. 6, and Willamette University on Feb. 21 to close the regular season. Road matchups include visits to Willamette (Jan. 23), George Fox (Feb. 7), Whitworth (Feb. 13), Whitman (Feb. 14), and Linfield (Feb. 20).
Lewis & Clark finished 6-19 overall and 3-13 in Northwest Conference play last season. Whitman captured the regular-season title with a 16-0 league record, followed by George Fox (11-5), Linfield (10-6) and Puget Sound (10-6).
Nine players return from last year's roster, including seniors
Tatiana Rebanal and
Madelyn Sanchez and juniors
Lauryn Frederickson and
Madilyn Palosi. Frederickson, an All-NWC Team selection, led the team in scoring, rebounds and blocks. Palosi ranked second in scoring and paced the team in made threes. Rebanal led the team with 58 assists, and Sanchez hit 22 threes in 20 appearances.
NWC doubleheaders will continue this season, with women's games scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Fridays and 3 p.m. on Saturdays ahead of the men's contests.
