Piper Curry ahead of their 74-66 Northwest Conference victory over Pacific Lutheran University on Saturday night, closing the 2024-25 season on a high note.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Sophomore
Lauryn Frederickson led the Pioneers with 24 points and seven rebounds, while first-year
Kaitlen Carns added a career-high 23 points and six rebounds. Sophomore
Divinity Singleton contributed 12 points and eight rebounds in an all-around performance.

DJ Kendrick hit a 3-pointer at the 7:51 mark to give Lewis & Clark a 3-1 lead, but Pacific Lutheran tied the game at 7-all three and a half minutes later. After Carns made her first basket to put the Pioneers up 10-7 with 3:40 remaining in the opening quarter, the Lutes played catch-up for the rest of the game. Frederickson hit a turnaround jumper at the end of the first quarter to give Lewis & Clark a 16-13 advantage.
The Pioneers extended their lead in the second quarter, with sophomore
Madilyn Palosi's 3-pointer pushing the advantage to double digits for the first time at 26-16 with 7:13 left. The Lutes fought back, cutting the deficit to 27-19 with 3:30 remaining before halftime, but Lewis & Clark stuck to its game plan. Carns grabbed an offensive rebound and scored a putback at the buzzer to give the home team a 35-31 lead at the break.
Lewis & Clark kept its momentum in the third quarter, building its largest lead at 47-33 on a 3-pointer from Frederickson with 5:08 on the clock. The Pioneers carried a 52-45 advantage into the final quarter, with Frederickson scoring nine of Lewis & Clark's 17 points in the third.
The Lutes mounted a late challenge, with Brooke Samura (25 points) cutting the deficit to under five points twice—at 64-60 with 3:45 left and 69-66 with 1:38 remaining. The Pioneers responded at the free-throw line, as Frederickson and Carns combined to hit five crucial free throws in the final minute to seal the victory.

- Sophomore Isabella Bernard pulled down four rebounds, finishing behind Frederickson (seven) and Carns (six).
- Junior Tatiana Rebanal (four points) and sophomore DJ Kendrick (three points) led the team with two steals each.
- Frederickson led the team this season, averaging 14.9 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. She ends her sophomore campaign with 543 career points and 419 career rebounds
