PORTLAND, Ore.—Four Lewis & Clark College men's track & field student-athletes posted PRs on Saturday, as part of a strong showing by the Pioneers at their final home event of the season at Eldon Fix Track.Â

HOW IT HAPPENED
Â
Despite extremely warm temperatures, Lewis & Clark rose to the occasion against a field of Division I runners and some of the top Division III runners in the region.Â
Â
Freshman
Noah Nelson posted a top-10 mark in program history in the 800m. The freshman ran in the fastest heat of the 800m and ran a PR time of 1:53.19. His time was a PR by 0.06 seconds and helped him finish in 12
th place.Â

Sophomore
Paul Biaggi added a PR of his own in the 200m. He crossed the line in 23.89 seconds to finish in 11
th.Â

Juniors
Miles Voenell and
Nate Bay each posted PRs in the 1,500m. Voenell crossed the line in 4:08.24 to finish in 37
th place. Bay was just behind him in 46
th with a mark of 4:13.74.Â

Sophomore
Max Aldrich was the final Pioneer on the track on Saturday night. Aldrich ran in the lead pack of the 5,000m for the entire race, before finishing in 8
th place with a time of 14:26.27.Â

THE BASICS
- Nelson's time was the sixth-fastest mark in program history in the 800m.Â
- Voenell's time in the 1,500m was a PR by 1.27 seconds. Bay improved his time by nearly 6.5 seconds in the 1,500m.Â
- Biaggi posted a PR time by 0.46 seconds in the 200m.Â
- Aldrich's mark in the 5,000m was the third-fastest of his career and one of the fastest marks in program history.Â
- With one meet to go, Aldrich sits 23rd in Division III in the 5,000m (14:15.18) and 59th in the 10K (30:46.21). Nelson is tied for 78th in D3 in the 800m (1:53.19). Â
