FOREST GROVE, Ore.—Freshman
Jordan Lahusky won the 400m and finished third in the 200m, to lead Lewis & Clark College men's outdoor track & field at the Pacific University Open on Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Lahusky won an event for the third-consecutive meet when he beat out of a field of 33 runners in the 400m. The dual-sport athlete crossed the line in 50.97 to finish .31 seconds ahead of the second-place competitor. Sophomore

Will Laskey (58.24) came in 27
th and 32
nd in the 400m.
Lahusky also led the Pioneers in the 200m. He placed third overall, just .49 seconds out of first place, when he crossed the line in 22.25. Junior
Devon Guest finished in 23.85 to finish second on the team. Junior
Elliott Harrison (24.53), Biaggi (24.56) and Laskey (25.53) rounded out the Pioneers five competitors in the event.
Guest led a pair of Pioneers in the 100m. He crossed the line in 11.68 to place 25
th out of 45 runners. Harrison came in 35
th with a PR time of 12.00.
Sophomore Daniel Madhvan earned a top-10 finish in the 400m hurdles. Madhavan crossed the line in 1:03.34 to place ninth overall.
Freshman
Noah Nelson led six Pioneers in the men's 1,500m. Nelson earned an 18
th-place finish after crossing the line in a PR time of 4:13.51. Sophomore
Aidan Ridderhof finished just behind Nelson with a PR of 4:17.55 (21
st place). Freshman
Rigo Castellanos was the third L&C runner to finish, as he posted a time of 4:27.74. Freshman
Joseph Naylor and sophomore
Connor Harrod finished back-to-back with Naylor (4:35.18) edging Harrod (4:35.41) by 0.23 seconds. Junior
Brandon Apresa closed out the race with a time of 4:37.29 to place 38
th.
Castellanos finished first among four Pioneers in the 800m. The Pios freshman crossed the line in 2:13.95 to place 41
st. Apresa (2:14.91) and Naylor (2:15.15) came in just behind Castellanos in 42
nd and 43
rd place. Harrod came across in 2:20.99 to finish 46
th.
Freshman
Theron Plumb was the lone Pioneer running in the 5,000m. Plumb finished the race in 22
nd place with a time of 16:11.03.
Senior
Sean Bodi and freshman
Andrew Fletcher were the Pioneers lone two competitors in the field events on Saturday.
Bodi placed 15
th in the long jump with a leap of 6.00m (19-08.25 feet). Bodi took 17
th in the javelin throw with a PR mark of 38.67m (126-10 feet). Fletcher came in 25
th in the javelin with a PR of his own (30.40m/99-09 feet).
Fletcher added a PR in the discus throw. He recorded a heave of 25.63m (84-01 feet) to place 26
th. He finished off the day with a 21
st-place showing in the shot put with a mark of 10.41m (34-02.00 feet).
BY THE NUMBERS
- In the first four outdoor meets of his collegiate career, Lahusky has won four races as an individual and he has finished second, third and ninth once.
- Fletcher and Harrison each posted two PRs on the day.
- Saturday's meet wrapped up a stretch where the Pioneers competed in five different meets in nine days.
