SALEM, Ore.—Behind the first two collegiate goals from freshman
Megan Yanagi, Lewis & Clark College women's soccer rallied from a pair of second-half deficits, to dispatch host Willamette University 3-2 in NWC action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Yanagi scored the game-tying and game-winning goals for the Pioneers, as Lewis & Clark rallied from a pair of deficits to earn at least a point in their second-straight game.

Sasha Raimondo scored her first goal of the season in the victory.
In net, junior
Sophia Young made four saves on six shots to improve to 3-2-1 on the season.
After a scoreless first half that saw the Pioneers lead in every statistical category, the two teams combined for five goals in the second stanza.
Willamette opened the scoring in the 55
th minute, when Braeden Glaser headed home her second goal of the season.
Sasha Raimondo started the scoring for the Pioneers off an assist from
Celeste Schreifels in the 59th minute to even the score at 1-1. Schreifels passed the ball from 35-yards out to Raimondo, who hit the lower left of the net from 17 yards.
Willamette retook the lead just over three-and-a-half minutes later, when Nina Krassner-Cybulski scored her team-leading sixth goal of the season.
Yanagi scored twice in a span of 3:52 to tie and give the Pioneers the lead for good. She scored the first goal at 68:27 from 22-yards out, when her shot from the far-right side of the box landed into the lower-left corner. Yanagi tacked on the game-winning goal at 72:19 on a 32-yard shot from the middle of the field into the upper right area of the net.
Lewis & Clark kept the pressure on the hosts and did not allow a shot, much less a shot on target over the final 17:41.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Lewis & Clark outshot Willamette 19-8. The Pioneers held an 8-6 edge in shots on goal and 6-2 lead in corner kicks.
- The Pioneers have scored three goals and erased two deficits in back-to-back NWC conference games. Lewis & Clark is now 3-0-1 in their first four NWC road games of the season.
- With the win, the Pioneers move into a tie atop the conference with George Fox University with 10 points in the conference. Lewis & Clark (3-1-1) has played one more game the Bruins (3-0-1).
- After not scoring a goal in their three non-conference games, Lewis & Clark has found the back of the net nine times in five conference contests (1.8 goals per game).
- Young moved into sole possession of second place in program history in career wins (12) on Wednesday. She is now 13 wins shy of tying Geena Fong for the program record for career victories.
WHO'S NEXT
The Pios host George Fox University at Noon on Sunday afternoon. The Bruins will open the weekend on Saturday, when they Linfield University at 11 a.m.
