Portland, Ore. – Lewis and Clark College women's soccer had 11 shots, in a 1-0 loss to visiting George Fox University Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
A goal in the 18th minute was the difference, as George Fox escaped Griswold Stadium with a Northwest Conference win. The Pioneers outshot the Bruins 5-4 in the first half of the game and had four corner kicks.
Celeste Schreifels had three of her team-high five shots in the first 45 minutes, including one on goal.
The Bruins took the shot advantage in the second half, 8-6, with two on goal. Keeper
Sophia Young saved both those shots in her 39th career game as a Pio. She has now moved into fourth for games played by goalkeepers at Lewis and Clark.

Megan Yanagi, and
Brecklyn Beighle all had two shots in the game. Myers and Beighle's shots were free kicks that missed either high or wide.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Beighle's shots give her 113 in her career and moves her to fourth place in program history.
- Schreifels tied her career-high with five shots in the loss.
- Freshman Lainey Honma made her collegiate debut. She played 27 minutes off the bench.
- Lewis & Clark has scored nine goals in their four conference road games but they are still looking for their first home NWC goal (two games).
