Key Moments

Peev and Hausler beat Andrew Kropp and Quentin Nigbur, 8-3, in the top doubles match. The most dominant doubles performance from the Pios was an 8-1 win by Matt Chio and Alberto Dos Santos in second position against Andre Lief and Jordan Megiveron.

"The men really came out with some great energy today and played with confidence," head coach Jimmy Chau said. "The Pioneers continue to mix up their doubles lineup and had some better results this time out. Peev had the toughest match of the day until he righted the ship to reel off eight straight games to finish it out."

Peev beat Kropp, 6-4, 6-0, in the No. 1 singles match.

Arielle Bloom clinched the women's match, 6-3, 7-6 (7-4), against Richelle Suzuki in No. 2 singles. The other two top singles matches went to Uribe (6-1, 6-0 against Anika Groener) in first position and Hayley Kreps (6-0, 6-1 against Ruby Blake) in third position.

"Arielle was reeled into another nail biter," Chau said. "Playing tough opponents all weekend, Arielle pulled out another close win to clinch the match for the Pioneers. Lauren Euben-Smith won nine out of the last eleven points to complete her comeback."

Euben-Smith's win was in fourth position, a 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-7) win over Camille Gibney. Rice and Poulsen won 8-7 (7-3) in the top doubles match.
