Box Score SPOKANE, Wash. -- Ryan Cibull's 3-pointer with 17 seconds left brought the Lewis & Clark Pioneers within three with 17 seconds left in Saturday's 90-87 loss to the Whitworth Pirates at Whitworth Fieldhouse.
After two made free throws, Brenden Patrick scored a layup as time expired, and the Pios upset bid fell short. Whitworth led the Northwest Conference standings entering the game.
In his final game, Cibull finished with a career-high 32 points including a 7 of 13 performance from 3-point range. He led the Pios along with Tyler McFarland with three assists.

Key Moments
A run midway through the second half by the Pirates gave some separation to what was a tight game throughout. Liam Fitzgerald, who made four 3-pointers in the game, hit a three with just under eight minutes to go and the Pirates led 72-61.
Jayden Simpson scored with less than two minutes left and brought the Pios to within one possession. Simpson finished with 17 points on 6 of 13 shooting and six rebounds.
Miguel Lopez had 22 points to lead Whitworth, and Jake Holtz scored 21 off the bench.
