PORTLAND, Ore. – Seniors
Kody Uyesugi and
Andre Treadwell combined for 52 points and 15 made 3-pointers as Lewis & Clark College men's basketball rallied from an 11-point second-half deficit to defeat Pacific University 87-83 in Northwest Conference play Friday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Uyesugi shot 7-for-10 from 3-point range and finished with a career-high 26 points. He added four rebounds and one assist.
Treadwell matched Uyesugi with 26 points, shooting 9-for-19 from the field, including 8-for-16 from beyond the arc. He grabbed six rebounds and blocked one shot.
Sophomore
Marcus Bast added 12 points and nine assists with two rebounds. Senior
Justin White recorded eight points, eight rebounds and five assists, while junior
Joe Brown chipped in eight points and six rebounds.
Lewis & Clark opened the game strong. Uyesugi's 3-pointer at 19:46 gave the Pioneers a 3-0 lead, and Treadwell followed with a triple at 17:30 to make it 10-6. Uyesugi converted three free throws at 16:41 to extend the lead to 16-11, and Treadwell's 3-pointer at 14:46 pushed the advantage to 21-16. White's free throw at 13:06 gave Lewis & Clark its largest first-half lead at 25-18.
Pacific responded with a 12-0 run. Lucas Gray's jump shot at 10:13 gave the Boxers their first lead at 26-25, and his layup at 8:28 made it 30-25. White stopped the run with two free throws with eight minutes remaining in the half.
Uyesugi hit a 3-pointer at 4:15 to regain the lead at 38-36, but Pacific closed the half strong. Gray's 3-pointer at 2:58 and Anthony Hrboka's 3-pointer at 1:20 sent the Boxers into halftime with a 42-38 advantage.
The teams traded baskets early in the second half before Pacific built momentum. Treadwell knocked down a 3-pointer at 15:29, but the Boxers answered with a 16-1 run. Max Vacco's driving layup at 10:06 gave Pacific its largest lead at 66-55.
Lewis & Clark rallied behind Uyesugi and Treadwell. Uyesugi hit a 3-pointer at 9:49, followed by a Treadwell triple at 9:22 to cut the deficit to 66-61. Bast drained a 3-pointer at 6:02 to tie the game at 70-70, then tied it again at 73-73 with another triple at 4:39. Uyesugi's 3-pointer at 1:33 gave Lewis & Clark an 81-75 lead.
Pacific cut the margin to 81-79 after Gray's pull-up jumper with 34 seconds remaining, but Uyesugi converted two free throws with 21 seconds left. Bast sealed the victory by making four free throws in the final 16 seconds. Hrboka's 3-pointer at 0:02 cut the final margin to 87-83.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Lewis & Clark made 19 3-pointers for just the second time since 2010. The last time came against Douglas on Dec. 31, 2022.
- Treadwell's eight 3-pointers were the most by a Lewis & Clark player since Jack Henderson made nine against Douglas and the most against an NCAA Division III opponent since Kyle Owens hit 10 against D'Youville on Dec. 12, 2018.
- Uyesugi scored his 891st career point and sits nine points shy of 900.
- Senior Taien Jackson finished with six points and four assists.
