HOW IT HAPPENED
Lewis & Clark held a slight lead for most of the first half before West Coast Baptist went into the half with a 43-41 lead. The Pioneers took control in the second half and outscored the Eagles 56-42 to win their fourth game in a row and stay perfect in road games this season.
Seniors Jack Henderson and Brenden Patrick combined for 56 points against the Eagles. Henderson led all players with 34 points. It was his second-straight 30-point game and second of the season. Patrick recorded the first double-double of his career with 22 points and a career-high ten assists.
McFarland shot 5-5 from the field, including two from beyond the arc. Five of his 12 points were off Eagle turnovers.
Freshman Matt Hoffman hit four long-range shots on his way to 12 points. This is the fourth game he has hit at least four threes this season. Hoffman pulled down five boards, dished out three assists, and had a steal for the Pios.
Senior Grant Stewart made his season debut for Lewis & Clark. The senior scored eight points and pulled down two rebounds against West Coast Baptist.
Junior Roderick O'Neal and sophomores Sebastian DePrez and Ryan Trunkett rounded out the scoring for the Pioneers. O'Neal scored two points in his third game of the season. DePrez added four points in his return to the lineup, and Trunkett scored three.
