NEWBERG, Ore. -- Riley Vickers and Kristian Peev, much as they did throughout the year, won the No. 2 doubles match during Friday's Northwest Conference Championship semifinal. The No. 4 seed, the Lewis & Clark Pioneers lost to the No. 1 George Fox Bruins, 5-1.
Peev and Vickers beat Rox Rogers and Hunter Fujimori, 8-5, for their 10th win of the season. The victory moved the Pios to the singles match-ups trailing by a 2-1 margin.
George Fox won at No. 2 and the bottom two singles to clinch the win and move on in the tournament. Lewis & Clark ends the season with an 8-6 overall record.

Following the win in doubles, Vickers won his first set, 6-4, against Vahag Pashayan in third position singles. Vickers won the first game of the second set as well.
Peev lost to Will Leach, 6-1, 6-2, in the No. 2 singles match, while Daniel Lane (6-0, 6-2 to Rogers) and Miles Stone (6-2, 6-0 to Camden Camacho) were downed in No. 5 and No. 6 positions, respectively.
Like Vickers, Ramez Attia also competed in his final match for the Pios. In the top singles pairing, Attia was trailing 6-0, 5-1 when the match was clinched.
