Men’s & Women’s Tennis Add Three Newcomers

Lewis & Clark welcomes one first-year on the women’s side and two to the men’s lineup.

PORTLAND, Ore.— Director of tennis and head men's and women's coach Jimmy Chau has announced his eighth recruiting class at Lewis & Clark College, with three first-year players wearing the orange and black for the first time this fall.

Alex Mignogna—Seattle, Wash.

Attended Shorewood High School … placed eighth in the Washington 3A State Tournament in singles … served as co-captain her senior season … played varsity all four years … helped the Stormrays win four Western Conference 3A South District championships … three-time WESCO First Team selection … earned the team's Most Inspirational and Best Sportsmanship awards … went undefeated in varsity regular-season play all four years.

"We're excited to get a very late addition to our team for the 25-26 season in Alex," Chau said. "We're looking forward to watching her grow in a competitive tennis environment because we believe she has the skill set to go very far in our program. Being such a late add, we're playing catch-up a little bit, but early signs are great!"

Aslan Gemuhluoglu—Wellington, New Zealand

Competed on the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Juniors circuit during high school…played in multiple ITF Tennis tournaments around the world…appeared in four tournament qualifying matches on the ITF Men's circuit…achieved a career-high world ranking of 1,544 on the junior circuit.

Kaden Siggurdsson—Livermore, Calif.

Played club tennis for the California Tennis Club...compiled a 10-19 record as a 2025 CTC graduate…won the HRT USTA Level 5 18U gold medal…ranked as the #8 men's player in the San Ramon area by UTR Sports…valedictorian of his graduating class.

"I'm excited to see what Kaden and Aslan bring to the table. Both have come from different paths to our program, but they're similar in their dedication to the game and growth in it," Chau said. "Both are keen on methodically developing into stronger players and aren't afraid to put in the work. They will likely play different roles for the team, but both are equally important in our quest for a championship."
