PORTLAND, Ore. -- For the first time since the mid-1990s, the Lewis & Clark Pioneers held a men's tennis match outside and on-campus as the Lewis & Clark Pioneers fell 8-1 to the Northwest Conference-leading George Fox Bruins.
The matches were the last in the regular-season careers of Ramez Attia and Riley Vickers. Lewis & Clark finishes the season at 5-3 and fourth in the NWC standings, which qualifies the Pioneers for the conference tournament.

Key Moments
On his Senior Day, Vickers won the lone Pioneers match. At No. 3 singles, Vickers won his fourth straight, 6-3, 6-3, over Alle Banna and finished the regular season with a 10-3 record.
Shane Lynette and Miles Stone each took their matches to a third set. In fourth position, Lynette won 6-1 in the second set against Camden Camacho and ultimately fell 6-3, 1-6, 10-3. Stone was defeated 3-6, 6-1, 10-6 in No. 6 singles by Hunter Fujimori.
In the top doubles match, Attia and Lynette lost 8-6 to Luke Lemaitre and Will Leach.
"Ramez and Shane took their match to the limit before falling 8-6 after getting broken for the match," Pios head coach Jimmy Chau said. "Singles play was highlighted by Riley's gutsy performance at No. 3. Cramping midway through the second set, the senior captain fell to the ground multiple times in pain, but would not let his career on the Lewis & Clark courts end like that. Amazingly, he played even better and closed it out with what may be his best win ever."
Vickers and Peev had their eight-match win streak snapped in No. 2 doubles. George Fox won 8-2 with Rox Rogers and Fujimori in the pairing. Lewis & Clark's duo hadn't lost since Mar. 14 and ends the regular season with a 9-4 record.
