Box Score 2 PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Lewis & Clark Pioneers opened their final games of the season at Huston Sports Complex with two losses to the Puget Sound Loggers on Friday.
In the opener, Puget Sound totaled 18 hits, and the Pios committed five errors, in a 14-3 defeat. In the finale, Lewis & Clark allowed seven runs in the first two innings and didn't dig out of the deficit in a 9-3 loss.
Jack Thomson had multiple hits in the opener, and Zack Kon added a pair in the finale. Jordan Gonzalez had three strikeouts, and Brayden Nomura added four, to highlight Pios pitching on Friday.

Key Moments | Game 1
Lewis & Clark (7-19, 7-19 NWC) scored its runs in the fourth inning. Kon reached on an error to lead off the inning and reached third on Tyler Gannon's double. Luke Bass singled through the right side to score one. After Jakob Ghammachi walked, Justin Bailey singled through the middle to score two.
Thomson picked up hits in his first two at-bats beginning with a double in the first. He added a single in the third. Ghammachi had a two-out single in the second. Regan Wolfe hit a pinch-hit single in the seventh, as the Pios had sparse hitting in the final three innings of the game.
Kris Wuelfing started and pitched an inning after five runs on seven hits. Gonzalez threw four innings and allowed four runs on six hits. Cristian Panaro and Brian Tatman finished the game.
Key Moments | Game 2
Bass had two RBI on his second-inning RBI, his third knock of the season. Lewis & Clark fell behind 7-2 through the first two innings. Pios starter Noah Ferruggia gave up seven runs on seven hits over two innings.
Nomura kept the Loggers (11-15, 7-13 NWC) without a run until the sixth over his four innings of pitching. He struck out four of the 16 batters he faced. Tal Jones and Brett Sterrer threw the final inning.
Kon finished 2 for 3 including a double. Blake Tellinghusen drew a walk and stole a base.

Lewis & Clark will recognize 11 seniors prior to the start of Saturday's doubleheader for Senior Day.
