Trio of Baseball Players Earn First Career All-Region Accolades

Lewis & Clark baseball is the only team in the Northwest Conference to have 2 All-Region players on both lists

PORTLAND, Ore.—Lewis & Clark College baseball senior Will Heron, junior Nate Kerr and sophomore Michael Aikawa were all named All-Region honorees on Tuesday morning.Ā
Ā
The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and D3baseball.com both released their All-Region Teams on Tuesday. Heron and Kerr were each named to the ABCA All-Region Second Team. Heron and Aikawa each earned spots on the D3baseball.com All-Region Third Team. All three players earned their first career All-Region accolades on Tuesday. The three honorees marked the most for the program since 2023, when Jack Thomson ('23), Jakob Ghammachi ('24) and Brennen Davis ('25) were all recognized.Ā
Ā
Lewis & Clark was the only Northwest Conference school to finish with multiple honorees on both lists. Whitworth University earned two honorees for ABCA but had only one All-Region pick for D3baseball.com. Whitman University, Pacific University and Linfield University each had one selection on one of the two lists. The ABCA All-Region Team is nominated and voted on by coaches, while D3baseball.com is nominated by and voted on by a group of Sports Information Directors.Ā Ā
