Box Score 2 PORTLAND, Ore. -- After he was robbed of a leadoff home run by a spectacular catch at the wall, Dylan Moore brought in a winning run for the Lewis & Clark Pioneers in Sunday's finale with the George Fox Bruins.
The Pioneers won 6-5 in the last game of the series by scoring five runs in the final half inning. Moore was one of four Pios to earn a free base in the final five batters of the inning. In relief of Alex Sutherland who gave up four runs, Isaac Olson hit three and walked one for the Bruins.
George Fox won the first game 8-7 to secure the series victory.

Moore nearly hit his fourth home run of the year to lead off the seventh, but George Fox center fielder Franklin Leonard nabbed the ball above the fence to earn the inning's first out.
Singles by Jack Thomson, Henry Goodier and Mason Lee paired with Zack Kon's double to close what was a four-run deficit to two. Olson replaced Sutherland and proceeded to hit Jacob Ghammachi and Sam Helms before walking David Schmidt. After Jack Savant was said to strike out, Moore was plunked on the second pitch of the at-bat to win the game.
Anthony Clerici earned his first collegiate win. The freshman threw two innings, allowed one run on two hits and a walk. Jordan Gonzalez started and pitched for five innings, struck out four and gave up four runs.
Nine different Pios had hits as Lewis & Clark totaled their most of the series (12). Thomson went 3 for 3, while Kon finished 2 for 4 with two RBI.

Lewis & Clark held a two-run lead and scored in the bottom of the fourth to tie the game at three, but George Fox scored five runs in a three-inning span to win the first game on Sunday.
Home runs were a hindrance for Pios starter Brett Pierson, who struck out 10 in 6 2/3 innings. He allowed seven earned runs, five of which came on a three-RBI homer by Audet in the fourth and a two-RBI knock by Sangalang in the seventh. Tyler Shimabukuro pitched the final 2 1/3 innings and struck out three.
Thomson hit his fourth home run of the season to tie his career high from last year when the Pioneers competed in 16 games, four fewer than they've played this season. Helms went 3 for 4 with two runs and a double for his first multi-hit game since Mar. 28.
