McMINNVILLE, Ore. -- The Lewis & Clark Pioneers dropped a 9-0 dual to the Linfield Wildcats on Saturday at Linfield Tennis Center.
Arielle Bloom took the most games in her No. 3 singles match. The Pios lost two matches by forfeit.

Competing without three starters, Bloom competed in her highest singles position to date, falling 6-1, 6-4 to Taryn Fujimori in third position.
Madelyn Landerfelt dropped the top singles match, 6-2, 6-1, to Tessa Kern, while Natalie Kowal was in her first No. 2 doubles match of the season. Kowal lost 6-1, 6-1 to Lexi Matsunaga. The Pios pair lost 8-1 to Kern and Matsunaga in No. 1 doubles.
Linfield is 4-0 in NWC matches this season.
"It was an uphill battle today facing the conference's top team without three starters," Pios head coach Jimmy Chau. "We tried to go toe-to-toe but their depth and talent was simply too much. Looking forward to playing them again tomorrow."
