SALEM, Ore. -- A week after earning their first 9-0 result of the year, the Lewis & Clark Pioneers did it again on Saturday against the Willamette Bearcats at the WU Tennis Courts.
All but the top singles match went to the Pios in straight sets, while Ramez Attia bounced back from a 6-0 loss in the first set to win in three in the top singles match. Kristian Peev and Riley Vickers won the No. 2 doubles match 8-0.

Key Moments
Lane had the biggest margin in singles on Saturday with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Andrew Kropp in No. 5 singles. Lane improved to 4-2 on the season and has won all four matches consecutively.
Vickers was a 6-1, 6-1 winner in third position over Quentin Nigbur to also win his fourth in a row. He is 3-2 in No. 3 singles this season.
"What a beautiful day for some outdoor tennis today," Pioneers head coach Jimmy Chau said. "Our guys are continuing to learn how to get the job done on the courts. Playing aggressive yet smart has been our mantra all year. Each player is starting to come into their own a little bit with realizing what they need to do to play their best tennis."
Peev squeaked out a 7-6 (5), 7-6 (5) win over Gene Perie-Jones in the second spot, while Shane Lynette won 6-2, 6-1 over Luke Hiserman in No. 5. Peev and Vickers were 8-0 winners in the No. 2 doubles match over Nigbur and Kropp.
"Our top guys led the way today with steady play down the stretch to close out their matches," Chau said. "There are no shortcuts in college tennis, and they are all figuring it out. I am loving the way this team is coming together and hope we can keep the momentum going."
Attia came back to win 0-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-6) in the top singles match over Kabacy.
