Box Score SANTA CRUZ, Calif. -- The Lewis & Clark Pioneers recaptured the lead with 4:20 remaining in the game and held onto a narrow margin the rest of the way in Friday's 65-62 victory over the Santa Cruz Banana Slugs.
Jack Henderson posted his fourth straight double-digit scoring game to lead the Pios with 17 at West Field House. He finished with a double-double with 12 rebounds, a season best. Brenden Patrick added 13, and Jayden Simpson posted 11 off the bench, nine of which were in the second half.
Prior to Friday, the Pios (5-4) hadn't played since Dec. 8. Lewis & Clark was seemingly unphased, however, shooting their best percentage (43.9) from the floor since Nov. 27.

Key Moments
There were 13 lead changes and seven ties during the game. Trailing by a game-most nine points, the Pioneers went on an 11-0 run in the late first half to take the lead. For the rest of the game, neither team led by more than a bucket or two, although the Pios were in front the vast majority of the game (23 minutes).
Tyler McFarland scored all seven of his points in the first half on 3 for 3 shooting. Patrick scored seven of his 13 in the first 20 minutes as well.
In the second half, Henderson erupted for 12 of his 17 despite missing all three tries from 3-point range. He added half of his rebounds in the second as well. Lewis & Clark led fast-break points by a 9-2 margin in the second 20 minutes.
