Box Score PORTLAND, Ore. -- 17 senior student-athletes were recognized prior to competing in their final home game at Griswold Stadium on Saturday. The Lewis & Clark Pioneers lost 40-9 to the George Fox Bruins.
Elijah McGee had a 13-yard run for a touchdown, and Alex Koga scored a 25-yard field goal, his 10th successful try this season, to match the school record for most made in a single season.
George Fox's Josiah Schmidt had two rushing touchdowns and a kickoff return TD.

The Lewis & Clark defense held George Fox to two field goals by Jason Santoni on the Bruins first two drives, efforts of five and 12 plays, respectively.
Trailing by six, the Pioneers put together the longest drive of the day, a 14-play, 81-yard effort that was capped off by McGee's rushing score. McGee finished with 37 yards on 19 carries. The extra-point snap was low, and holder Isaac Cordova was unsuccessful in an attempt to run to the goal line to keep the game tied at 6-6.
On the ensuing kickoff, Schmidt scored on an 85-yard return to bounce the Bruins ahead again, 12-6. Lewis & Clark starting quarterback Cruz Montana was intercepted on the next drive, one of two picks thrown by Montana on the day. Wyatt Adams caught a deflected pass and returned the ball to the Lewis & Clark 40. Six plays later, Schmidt scored from five yards out.
George Fox (5-3, 5-1 NWC) scored on the first two drives of the second half, first on a 35-yard rush by Ethan Kassebaum and another Schmidt run of six yards.
Trey Morris moved to QB for the Pios late in the second half and went 9 for 19 for 93 yards and two interceptions. The first INT was thrown in the George Fox endzone on fourth down, and Josh Poppleton returned it 100 yards for the final Bruins TD.
