Gio Borea each were recognized for the first time in their careers. Football has had at least four players honored in each of the past two seasons and 11 total players over the past three years.

To be eligible for the CSC Academic All-District honor, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, and must have competed in 90 percent or started in at least 66 percent of the games played by the team for the fall season.

Marquez is a Biology major hailing from Phoenix, Arizona. He earned his first career All-Conference honors this Fall, after moving to left tackle and anchoring the offensive line. The two-time Academic All-District honoree started in all 10 games and helped Lewis & Clark post their first winning season (6-4) since 2011. Marquez helped the Pioneers offense finish second in the Northwest Conference in points (34.9) and yards per game (430.1) and first in yards per play (6.6). As a team, Lewis & Clark scored 50 or more points twice, including posting 58 points in their Northwest Conference opener against the University of Puget Sound.Ā

Valencia is a Rhetoric and Media Studies major from Watsonville, California. He put together a career year in his third season of action. The senior safety started and played in nine contests and racked up new career-highs in solo tackles (19), total tackles (32), interceptions (two) and passes defended (three). Valencia posted four or more tackles five times and notched five stops on three occasions. He posted the best game of his senior season on October 4 against Puget Sound when he recorded five solo stops and his first career interception in a win over the Loggers.Ā

Wacker is a Psychology major from Clackamas, Oregon. The junior defensive lineman started in six contests and appeared in all 10 games. Wacker tied his career-high with 24 tackles and posted a new career-high with 2.5 sacks and 3.5 tackles-for-loss. He finished the season tied for third on the team in sacks and tied for fifth in tackles-for-loss. Wacker posted at least 0.5 tackles-for-loss in five games - including four-straight from September 20-October 18. He racked up five tackles and a sack in the Pioneers' conference-opening win over Puget Sound on October 4.Ā

Borea is a Psychology major hailing from Chandler, Arizona. The sophomore running back played a key role on special teams and served as the team's number four running back in his second season. He appeared in nine contests and posted new career-highs with 16 rushes for 82 yards and a touchdown. Borea added two receptions for 14 yards, one kickoff return for 10 yards and two tackles. The sophomore rushed for 36 or more yards in each of the team's first two games and scored his first career rushing touchdown in the opener at Puget Sound.Ā
