PORTLAND, Ore. -- Zeke Crawford had one block against the Whitworth Pirates in Friday night's 73-66 loss at Pamplin Sports Center, bringing his season total even with the Lewis & Clark all-time single-season record for blocks. Key Moments

Both teams went scoreless through the first minute of the game until Ryan Cibull landed a jump shot to get the Pioneers (8-12,4-7 NWC) on the board. They were able to maintain their lead through the first 12 minutes of the half, pushing the deficit as high as six. A seven-point run by the Pirates (16-4,9-1 NWC) tied the score at 8:28 and the rest of the half was spent fighting for control. The teams headed into the break 37-35 in favor of the Pirates.

The second half started with fireworks after a free throw from Crawford put the Pios within a point. After missing his second shot, Crawford made a steal on a turnover from Garrett Hull, barreling down the court for a dunk that put Lewis & Clark ahead by one. Patrick sunk a 3-pointer two minutes later to extend the lead to four. In a top-five shooting performance of the season, he went 4-7 from the field, 2-3 from the deep and 4-4 from the free-throw line.

The teams exchanged the lead five times between 14:16 and 2:43, with back-to-back three's from Nick Lombardi and Smith returning the lead to the Pios over the course of a minute. Lombardi's second three of the night came with just 32 seconds left in the game to bring the Pios within seven, but after missing his third attempt, the Pirates stayed out of reach.
