Box Score TACOMA, Wash. -- Kody Kennedy's pass led to Daelon Floyd's layup with 0.8 seconds remaining in overtime to lift the Lewis & Clark Pioneers to an 89-87 win over the Puget Sound Loggers on Friday night.
On a night when Brian Smith set a career high with 33 points, Kennedy came out of a pile with the basketball and passed across the lane to Floyd on the Pios' final possession of overtime. The win bolsters the Pios chances of a Northwest Conference postseason berth, as Lewis & Clark enters Saturday's games one game back of Pacific Lutheran for fourth place in the NWC.
The Pios score in the final second of OT matched Puget Sound's at the end of regulation. John Misel scored two free throws after he was fouled on a tip-in with 0.5 seconds left in the second half. Zeke Crawford, who moved ahead of Gene Rivera for the single-season blocks record with two on Friday, was called for the foul. He eventually fouled out in overtime with 16 points.

Key Moments
The game took a surprising turn to even reach overtime as the Pioneers held two 14-point leads in the first half. Puget Sound used an 11-0 run over the final five minutes to tie the game 30-30 at halftime.
Neither team led by more than a single possession in overtime, the second OT game of the year for Lewis & Clark. Stellan Roberts had 22 of his co-game-high 33 in the second half and overtime. His jumper with 2:24 left gave the Loggers a two-point edge before Kennedy put in two free throws.
When Cal Hansen was fouled, he made two at the line to give Puget Sound back an 87-85 edge. Hansen ended with 26 points for the Loggers (10-13, 4-10 NWC).
Finishing with 12 points, Floyd immediately answered, and the Pioneers tied the game at 87 apiece. After Kennedy was called for a travel scrambling for a takeaway, Brenden Patrick got his hands on a shot attempt and secured the rebound to set the Pios up for their final possession.
