Seven players hit double digits as Pioneers defeat Northwest Indian

PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Lewis & Clark Pioneers won their third consecutive game as they took on the Northwest Indian Eagles Tuesday night at Pamplin Sports Center. The Pioneers defeated the Eagles 122-64, shooting 56.5 percent from the floor with a season-best 24 to 11 assist to turnover ratio.

Jack Henderson led the team with 15 points, one of seven Pios to hit double digits in the game. He was joined by Zeke Crawford, Christian Pitcher, Brian Smith, Andrew Panicacci, Nick Lombardi and Grant Stewart. Stewart also logged his first double-double with 18 rebounds.

Key Moments

The Pioneers (4-4) established their lead early, jumping to a 10 point advantage over the Eagles (0-3) five minutes into the game. Crawford, the team's leader in both scoring and rebounds, was the first to put points on the board, scoring 10 before halftime. The Pios had extended their lead to 20 points with 10 minutes to play in the half, a trend which continued through the rest of the game.

The Pios shot 56.5 percent from the floor, with Henderson making 7-11 and Pitcher right behind him making 6-11. The Pios scored 73 bench points and forced 19 turnovers for 30 points. Stewart led the rebounding effort with a career-high 18, while Henderson, James Hodge-Green and Lombardi combined for 17. Five other Pioneers tied with four rebounds each for a team total of 61, the highest game total since 2011.

Matt Brown logged 5 of the team's season-high 24 assists while making three steals.
