Against shooting onslaught, Pios defeated on the road

Box Score

MCMINNVILLE, Ore. -- Behind a 64 percent start from the floor, the Linfield Wildcats recovered from an early hole, as the Lewis & Clark Pioneers lost 84-54 at Ted Wilson Gymnasium on Saturday night.

Lewis & Clark started out with a 7-4 lead, but quickly fell behind as Linfield went on a 19-5 run due, in part, to the Pioneers hitting a field-goal drought of six minutes after taking the three-point lead.

The Pioneers were led by 14 points from Nick Lombardi off the bench and 10 from Zeke Crawford. Lewis & Clark wraps up the season at George Fox on Friday and at home against Puget Sound on Feb. 17.
