FOREST GROVE, Ore. - The #29 Lewis & Clark women's tennis team ended the regular season on Tuesday evening with an 8-1 defeat of Pacific.
The Pioneers swept the Boxers in doubles play, starting with an 8-5 win by Summer Garrison and Claudia Lew in the No. 1 spot. Gillian Lowe and Christine Eliazo teamed up in No. 2 doubles to defeat Sidney Smith and Kanani Kea 8-2. The final point came from Adrienne Fox and Kathryn Johnson, who defeated their opponents 8-4.
In singles action, Garrison defeated Jelena Vidovic 6-3, 7-5 in the top spot to improve to 13-2 on the season. Eliazo earned a 6-1, 6-3 win in the No. 2 spot, while Lew won 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 3 position. Lowe competed as the team's No. 4, defeating Carlee Rhodaback 6-1, 6-0. Johnson collected the Pios final singles point with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Kelly Flores.
The Pioneers return to the court on Friday, April 24 in Walla Walla, Wash. for the Northwest Conference Tournament, where they will take on Linfield in the semifinals. The match is set for 2 p.m.
