TACOMA, Wash. - The Lewis & Clark women's tennis team earned its second 9-0 victory of the season on Saturday, taking down Puget Sound on the road in Northwest Conference action.
A day after picking up a 9-0 NWC victory in the L&C Tennis Dome, the Pioneers hit the road to do the same thing.
Freshmen Summer Garrison (No. 1) and Glenna Gee-Taylor (No. 4) both made their matches look easy, blanking their opponents 6-0, 6-0. Claudia Lew picked up a 6-3, 6-0 win in the No. 2 spot, while Kacey Incerpi won 6-2, 6-3 in the No. 3 position and Christine Eliazo won 6-2, 6-2 as the No. 4. The Pioneers closest singles match came in the No. 6 position with Adrienne Fox pulling out a win over Ali Goo.
Incerpi and Eliazo competed as the Pioneers top doubles tandem, taking down the Loggers top team 8-2. S. Garrison and Lew also won their match 8-2 (No. 2), while Gee-Taylor and Kathryn Johnson won 8-5.
Lewis & Clark will try and win its third straight conference match on Sunday, Feb. 22 at 10:30 a.m. at Pacific Lutheran.
