Women's Tennis Ends Solid Season

RESULTS

WALLA WALLA, Wash. - The Lewis & Clark women's tennis team ended the 2013 season with its first appearance in the Northwest Conference tournament since the new seeding rules. The Pioneers, who lost one regular season conference game this season, fell in the championship game to #17 Whitman 5-0.

The Missionaries took a 3-0 advantage heading into singles, making a win harder for the Pioneers to find. Aurora Garrison and Gillian Lowe battled at No. 1 doubles but could not overcome their foes, falling 8-6. The next two Pio doubles teams fell 8-3.

Garrison and Olivia Cornell both fell in singles, No. 1 and No. 2 respectively, to help the nationally ranked Missionaries earn the conference's NCAA Automatic Qualifier.

Lewis & Clark ends the season with a 16-4 overall record.
